Early Years Pupil Premium Grant


From April 2015 some children in our school could be eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium Grant (EYPPG).
This is additional funding paid to the school for us to use to improve a child’s learning and development. (You do not receive the funds yourself).
The Early Years Pupil Premium grant will be used for all eligible children, irrespective of their needs and abilities. This includes children with particular learning difficulties and those of higher ability.
Children are eligible to receive this grant if their parents are in in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
Income Support
• Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit (provided you are not also entitled to Working
Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than
• Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
• Universal credit
Or if they have been:
• looked after by the local authority for at least one day
• have been adopted from care
• have left care through special guardianship
• are subject to a child arrangement order (what used to be
a residence order)
We will be asked by Ofsted to show evidence of how the money has been spent to improve a child’s learning and development and how it has made a difference.
